Department 82 Pulmonary Medicine and Hematology. Department 82 is an internal medicine care unit with 28 beds specializing in pulmonary medicine and hematology. Here we care for seriously ill patients with both acute and chronic conditions involving respiratory failure and blood disorders. We work according to clear care routines using various approaches including SEUPP rounds, patient-centered reporting, and Gröna korset. Job Description All patients are assessed and prioritized based on their disease symptoms, and you are responsible for basic patient care. You will be part of a team with nurses, nursing assistants, specialist physicians, junior physicians, social workers, dietitians, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. The work is varied, challenging, and stimulating, and you meet a wide range of patients and diagnoses. The position involves care responsibilities including regular monitoring of vital parameters, nutritional needs, blood draws, dressing changes, ECG recording, catheter insertion, and assistance with various procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and drain placement. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has worked in direct patient care for patients with various disease conditions. You prioritize and reprioritize your tasks easily, are prepared for the unexpected, demonstrate humility, and have a positive attitude toward people in different situations. We seek someone who collaborates well, can work independently, and has a flexible approach. You may need to act as a coordinator with coordination responsibilities on the unit.
