We care for patients with various psychiatric conditions and needs. Job Responsibilities As a nursing assistant on the night shift, you play a central role in creating safety, continuity, and a good care environment for our patients. Night work places special demands on independence, judgment, and the ability to notice changes in the patient's well-being. You work close to patients and together with a registered nurse, you are responsible for ensuring that planned care and nursing are carried out during the night. The work includes, among other things: psychiatric nursing based on the patient's individual needs and planned interventions observations, supervision, and assessment of changes in the patient's well-being supportive and motivating conversations suicide prevention work supporting patients with sleep, recovery, and functioning nighttime routines meeting and supporting patients experiencing worry, anxiety, and acute deterioration documentation and structured handover reporting to day staff practical tasks that contribute to a safe and well-functioning care environment conduct somatic checks and observations, including NEWS, vital parameters, blood sugar checks, and ECG, and notice and report changes in the patient's health status On M77, we see psychiatric nursing as an active part of treatment. Qualifications Proof of protected professional title for nursing assistants or employer certification proving that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023, in accordance with the transitional provisions (2021:739) of the Patient Safety Act (2010:659). You are a trained nursing assistant with a protected professional title and have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in psychiatric nursing and who enjoys working close to people with varying and sometimes complex psychiatric issues. You need to be able to work independently, take responsibility, and maintain calm and sound judgment even when situations change rapidly. At the same time, you need good collaboration skills and see the value of working together with the registered nurse and the rest of the team around the patient's care. Experience with psychiatric inpatient care is a requirement. Personal Qualities We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
