Trelleborg Hospital is the small hospital with a big heart. The acute and medicine operational area (VO) has approximately 270 employees who conduct internal medicine activities within cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonology, rheumatology, gastroenterology and neurology. This includes a large outpatient clinic, three inpatient wards and a day care unit. The emergency department is part of the Close Care and Health administration. At our emergency department in Trelleborg, we provide internal medicine emergency care every day of the week between 08:00 and 20:00. On weekdays between 08:00 and 16:00, we also treat patients with surgical, urological and orthopedic symptoms. Annually we have approximately 13,000 visits and nearly 1,000 emergency calls. We work in teams consisting of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants and medical secretaries. We also work closely with anesthesia and specialist consultants. Nearly all patients treated in internal medicine in Trelleborg pass through the emergency department and it is there that we make the difference together. We have approximately 40 employees, some of whom are specialized in emergency care. We have broad competence distribution from recently graduated staff to many years of experience. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES Work at the emergency department is varied and includes triage, monitoring and treatment of acutely ill patients, such as priority 1 calls. In your role as a nursing assistant at the emergency department, you work with nursing care, blood sampling and dressing changes, among other things. Together we work in a varied and stimulating environment where flexibility and collaboration are required. We offer you a broad foundation with an individually adapted induction program, where progression occurs through gradually increased responsibility. We have different positions such as team, emergency calls, orthopedics and admissions. We have local induction training such as S-CPR and recurring practice scenarios. Working hours are arranged with mixed day, evening and weekend shifts. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for protected professional title regardless of whether you studied according to previous or current program structure, preferably with a focus on emergency care. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a requirement. In addition, you have work experience in inpatient care. It is a merit if you have experience in emergency care. As a person, you are confident in your professional role, have good teamwork ability and see opportunities instead of obstacles. You have great commitment and a positive attitude, are driven by new challenges and have an open mind to learning new things.
