What does the job as a nursing assistant at Norlandia Elderly Care entail?
A nursing assistant within Norlandia is a valuable key person, and we're looking for someone who is skilled in your professional role and who enjoys meeting people in different situations. Together as a team with nurses, rehabilitation specialists, and management, we collaborate around the residents to provide a good life every day.
We're looking for you with a genuine interest in elderly people, where your main responsibilities are to provide safe and secure personal care and support. You support residents in their daily lives and create conditions for a safe and meaningful everyday life. As a nursing assistant, you're responsible for providing residents with high-quality care and support in accordance with what has been agreed upon with residents in their care plan.
This includes, among other things:
Work as a contact person based on Norlandia's concept "Your Day."
Personal care and support and utilizing residents' own resources.
Work based on Norlandia's concept "Tasty Meals" so that our residents enjoy food and mealtimes add a touch of gold to their everyday lives.
Documentation according to the Social Services Act; maintaining social records and creating as well as following up on care plans.
Plan, offer, and conduct daily activities, outdoor time, entertainment, crafts, cultural activities, etc., both individual and group activities.
Perform service tasks such as apartment cleaning, laundry, accompaniment, and shopping.
Receive and carry out delegated tasks such as medication administration.
Take responsibility in ombudsman roles.
Actively participate in quality and improvement work in the operation.
About Sätraåsens Elderly Care Facility
Sätraåsens elderly care facility is located in the Sätra district, next to Gävle trotting track. The facility has 72 apartments, of which 18 are specialized in somatic care and 54 are specialized in dementia care. The facility has good public transportation connections via city buses. Sätraåsen features a solarium, craft room, a large and beautiful garden with greenhouse, and several common areas.

You need proof of authorization to use the professional title nursing assistant from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare.
It is a merit if you have previous experience in care and support.
You need good documentation skills.
You have good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
We'd like you to have good computer skills/computer experience.
We want you to have good knowledge of the national quality registers relevant to the operations.

Probationary Period: We apply a 6-month probationary period
We apply individual salary setting and have collective agreements. Interviews are held on an ongoing basis and the position may be filled before the final application deadline. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
Before potential employment, you must be able to provide a certificate from the criminal record register. You also need to be able to demonstrate that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have EU/EES citizenship or a valid work permit.
