With us, you will meet patients of all ages – from new families after cesarean sections to patients who have undergone cancer surgery – where you get to use both your clinical judgment and your empathy. Here we work in teams with nurses (general or specialist), nursing assistants, midwives, and doctors, using advanced technology and short care periods. You will become an important part in creating security and flow for our patients. The procedures vary between colorectal, upper gastrointestinal, gynecological, or obstetric surgery. Certain days of the week we also meet children and adults who have undergone dental or jaw procedures. We work at a high pace with focus on flow and patient safety, as well as providing patients with a safe transition from surgery to home discharge or ward admission. The work takes place in close collaboration with several other operations at Östra Hospital, which provides variety and great development opportunities. The work can take place in both the central clinic and women's clinic post-operative units. Since fall 2025, Postop Östra has been part of a newly launched project where we continuously work on improvements and changes, with every team member having an important role in how we want our workplace to function optimally.
