The Sjöjungfrun care and residential home is located at Tomtebo at the southern tip of Nydalasjön, approximately 6 km from Umeå city center. The home has 47 apartments distributed across three floors. Each floor has two units with 8 apartments per unit. We offer excellent opportunities for outdoor activities. In addition to our proximity to Nydalasjön, we have balconies, outdoor terraces, and a shared courtyard that encourages outdoor recreation. We look forward to welcoming a new nursing assistant to the team! Your responsibilities With a professional approach and good conduct, you will assist our residents. Resident participation in decision-making is central, and you will contribute to the implementation of services with high quality in accordance with care decisions and implementation plans. You will help with nursing care, personal hygiene, meals, and other services. Your responsibilities also include documentation of measures and health status as well as medical tasks based on delegation from the responsible nurse. Working hours are scheduled for day shifts, evenings, and every other weekend. About you We are looking for someone who is responsible and wants to contribute to high-quality operations by being professional and accommodating toward residents, colleagues, other professionals, and to some extent family members. You have an empathetic nature, are humble with good teamwork skills, and are a good team player. You are constructive and proactive and can work independently. We place great importance on personal suitability. Requirements Trained nursing assistant Experience in elderly care Experience working with people with dementia diagnoses Good knowledge of Swedish language, both spoken and written, so you can communicate with service users, family members, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and receive tube/medication delegation Smoking and pets may occur in the workplace, so you should not have allergies.
