The Center for Movement-Related Disorders Umeå is responsible for Orthopedics in the northern healthcare region, which encompasses the four northernmost counties. The Center for Movement-Related Disorders is divided into the sections Joint and Tumor, Factum, Trauma, and Spine, all of which perform thousands of patient visits, treatments, and surgical procedures annually. The Center for Movement-Related Disorders, Umeå is a University Healthcare Unit (USVE) where research and student supervision are a natural part of the clinical daily routine. Within the Center for Movement-Related Disorders Umeå there is an outpatient clinic, inpatient ward, day surgery unit, administrative unit, and orthopedic technical center. Our care is characterized by a holistic approach where many different professional categories are engaged in the patient's care process and collaborate for the best results with the vision of keeping Norrland on its feet and in motion. The Orthopedic ward has close collaboration with Umeå University through our newly opened clinical education ward. Training of students and employees is close to our hearts, and through the new ward we achieve a unique blend of highly specialized care and clinical education. We are now looking for nursing assistants for our inpatient ward, welcome! 3 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a Nursing Assistant with us, you contribute with knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure. As a nursing assistant, you work close to the patient and support them in the functions that need support, but always work to preserve their autonomy. We work in rapid care pathways, with mobilization and return to previous life being pursued quickly after surgery. As a nursing assistant, you also perform regular nursing assistant tasks for an acute care ward such as mobilization, daily care, monitoring of vital parameters, wound care, specimen collection, etc. With us, nursing assistants have an important and natural role in the nursing team and your work contributes to patient-safe care of good quality. To keep the daily care together, we have introduced a care coordinator in each team. This person follows up on work tasks and participates in rounds. Working hours are day, evening, weekend, and night according to operational needs. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you with approved nursing assistant training. Since nursing assistant is a protected title, you need to provide a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or alternatively a service certificate that means you are covered by the National Board of Health and Welfare's transitional provisions and can use the title until June 30, 2033. You are responsible and thrive in an environment with varied work tasks and varying intensity. You have good communication skills in speech and writing, and you enjoy working both independently and in a team, where cooperation and initiative, flexibility, and accuracy are qualities we value. You are good at prioritizing what is most important at the moment and have the ability to maintain focus on the task. Employment type: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent.
