The Geriatric Center is a specialist clinic for patients requiring both acute and planned geriatric care and rehabilitation. A comprehensive assessment of the patient's medical, physical, mental, and social functional capacity in illness is performed by a multidisciplinary team. Diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation are conducted in both inpatient and outpatient settings with the patient's individual needs in focus.
Psychogeriatrics, Ward 2 has 11 care beds and provides specialized psychogeriatric care, treatment, and rehabilitation for people with cognitive diseases and behavioral and psychological symptoms associated with dementia (BPSD) regardless of age. Patient care and treatment are based on the individual's needs and take place in a well-functioning team. The ward works with nursing care strategies and person-centered care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nursing assistant with us, you contribute with knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe.
The work as a nursing assistant includes nursing care together with registered nurses. You perform medical procedures based on the patient's condition and medical orders. You collaborate with other professionals in the care team, other healthcare providers, and the patient's next of kin. Your working hours are distributed according to a schedule covering days, evenings, and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with an approved nursing assistant diploma. We would like to see that you have professional experience working with people with cognitive diseases.
In addition to your nursing care competence, we value collaboration skills and the ability to listen and communicate with patients, next of kin, and colleagues in the workplace. As a person, you are engaged and positive. We also see that you are interested in contributing your knowledge to develop the clinic's operations. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title. This means you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant within healthcare and social services. You apply for a certificate of protected professional title for nursing assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare.
