About the Operation
The Operation, Anesthesia and ICU clinic in Mora consists of two operating departments: Central Operating Room with five operating rooms and the Day Surgery operating department with two operating rooms. At Central Operating Room, both elective and acute surgeries are performed in the specialties of surgery, orthopedics, and urology. The operation also includes some endoscopic activities. The operating activities also include a sterilization unit that is responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and handling medical-technical instruments.
Job Responsibilities
As a nursing assistant on the operating team, you are an important part of perioperative care and work in close collaboration with the operating room nurse and anesthesia nurse. You contribute to planning and organizing work around surgical procedures and are responsible, together with the operating room nurse, for ensuring that hygienic and aseptic guidelines are followed. Through a systematic approach, you work to prevent infection transmission and ensure a safe and patient-secure care environment.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who
is trained as a nursing assistant and has completed the Healthcare and Care program or the Healthcare and Care vocational package in adult education
has advanced courses in acute care and Medicine 2 (applies to those with degrees from earlier education plans)
has several years of experience working on a care unit
communicates well in Swedish in both speech and writing
feels comfortable working with digital systems and medical record systems
Meritorious qualifications include
experience from operating room activities, acute care, and/or intensive care
As a person, you are responsible, thorough, and engaged with a clear patient focus. You have a professional and respectful approach to patients, relatives, and colleagues. You thrive in a high-paced work environment, have good multitasking ability, and the ability to prioritize when conditions change. The work demands high requirements for collaboration, flexibility, and a solution-focused approach.
