The Geriatric Center is a specialist clinic for patients requiring both acute and planned geriatric care and rehabilitation. A comprehensive assessment of the elderly patient's medical, physical, mental, and social functional capacity in case of illness is performed by interprofessional teams. Diagnostics, treatment, and rehabilitation are conducted in inpatient and outpatient care with the patient's individual needs in focus. The work is performed in close collaboration with nurses, but the team also includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors, as well as social workers and dietitians when needed. QUALIFICATIONS You have nursing assistant training and a completed acute care course. You enjoy working with the elderly and put the patient first, have good bedside manner, and adapt your care to the patient's different needs during the care process. You are interested in rehabilitation and in encouraging patients to be active and engaged in their daily lives. You are willing to take initiative, are easy to work with, and are curious about new challenges. You feel a sense of responsibility and thrive in an environment with varying tasks and changing intensity. You work together with nurses, doctors, and paramedical staff, but also have a significant portion of your workday working independently, where cooperation and initiative skills as well as flexibility and attention to detail are qualities we value. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected job title. This means you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant in health and care.
