The clinic consists of an inpatient ward, outpatient care with reception and treatment unit, radiotherapy unit, and a palliative care team. In total, we have approximately 120 employees. Ward 40 is the oncology clinic's inpatient ward with 18 care beds. Here we work in teams with a holistic perspective on patients with oncological and hematological diseases, that is, patients with cancer or blood diseases. We provide both curative and palliative treatment. The ward cares for patients aged 18 and older. With us, you will become part of a multidisciplinary team where you get the opportunity to see the whole patient and their relatives. You will work with advanced healthcare technology and be part of the development of cancer care. The ward has approximately 50 employees, and through shared leadership with two managers, there is close and accessible support. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a nursing assistant with us, you will receive varied work that gives experience of all types of tasks on a care ward. You will work with both acute care and palliative care. The work tasks include, among other things, patient care, patient monitoring, specimen collection, wound dressing changes, catheter placement, assisting doctors and nurses with examinations, and administrative tasks such as in the medical record system. You collaborate with nurses and other professionals regarding patient care. With us, nurses and nursing assistants work together in paired care. We prioritize a safe and secure work environment where we treat patients, relatives, and each other with respect and human compassion. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has nursing assistant training and professional experience as a nursing assistant. Previous experience working on a care ward is a merit, as is experience in cancer care, palliative care, or hematology. As a person, we see that you have great commitment to patient interactions and good patient care knowledge. You thrive with a structured approach and have good problem-solving skills. You value good collaboration, are engaged in your work, and have high ambition to contribute to the operation's goals. Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a requirement.
