Description We are seeking an engaged nursing assistant for our dementia unit on the night shift! The night team consists of three people, one of whom is now retiring. Permanent position from January 4, 2027. Welcome to our dementia unit, a safe and homey environment consisting of 8 apartments. Here we work to create a meaningful daily life for our residents. You will become part of a competent and supportive team that works with a person-centered approach and places great emphasis on building good relationships with both residents and their families. At our unit, we work from an individualized perspective where we always prioritize the needs of our residents. You will work with everything from care and daily activities to creating a safe and stimulating environment for our residents. We have close collaboration with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists to ensure high quality care. The position involves working according to schedule on the night shift. Job Responsibilities Trained nursing assistant, preferably with professional experience. The position requires that you as a person can work independently as well as in a team and are flexible. We would like to see that you: - Have experience working in dementia care or elderly care. - Have knowledge of and/or experience working with person-centered care. - Are solution-focused and have a genuine interest in developing care for people with dementia. - Have experience with documentation. - Are confident in your professional role and have professional conduct toward service users, families, and colleagues. To provide care and service centered on the service user's needs according to care decisions and implementation plans, with respect for the service user's integrity, participation, and self-determination. The job responsibilities also include IT-based documentation and administration as well as delegated health and medical care tasks. Qualifications Health and Care Program or other education that provides nursing assistant competence and good computer skills. The position requires good collaboration skills, flexibility, and independence. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Delegation of medication. We consider it an advantage if you have dementia training. Terms As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title and you must apply for a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant. You must have passing grades in Swedish speech and writing. Before a job offer is made, a certificate from the police criminal record register must be presented.
