Department 93 currently has 14 patient beds, distributed across two care teams where patients with kidney diseases, rheumatological diseases, and general medical conditions are cared for. The department also includes a day care unit with 8 spaces, where patients come during the day to undergo various types of treatments. Job Responsibilities As a nursing assistant with us, you will work in a team around the patient, performing care, examinations, medical treatments, and pre- and post-operative care. You will be part of performing basic nursing care, peritoneal dialysis, wound dressing changes, catheter placements, fluid balance calculations, blood draws, and more. With us, you participate in rounds and documentation work related to patient care. We offer everyone an individually tailored orientation program. Are you new to inpatient care? We offer straight weeks in the orientation program to give you extra confidence in your new role with greater access to various support functions such as discharge coordinators, clinical quality nurses, the department's physician, and managers. Qualifications We welcome you if you are a trained nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on acute care according to the previous program structure, or are trained as a nursing assistant within the current program structure. To assess employability, grades from your nursing education and proof from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) of protected professional title must be attached to your application. About the Operations The Medical Services operational area is one of the university hospital's largest and is organizationally divided into five sections: endocrinology and diabetes, gastroenterology, hematology, nephrology, and general internal medicine.
