Region Gotland operates elderly care facilities in-house at six locations. Those of us who work here have the task of supporting older adults around the clock with various services, where each individual's needs are in focus. The operation is based on a palliative care philosophy and Region Gotland's values: trust, care, and participation.
Terra Nova elderly care facility has 60 places, of which 30 are intended for people with dementia and 30 are special residential places. The facility is located in eastern Visby – with proximity to both nature and the city center.
As part of our team, you work nights according to a fixed base schedule. On occasional occasions, day or evening shifts may also occur in connection with workplace meetings. You are offered a varied and meaningful role where you make a difference – every night.
We are now seeking two nursing assistants for our unit on the night shift. One position is a permanent employment and the other is a parental leave replacement running from September 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027.
Your responsibilities
During the night, you are responsible for routine care services. The work includes, among other things, personal care such as assistance with hygiene, transfers, and supervision, as well as medication management according to applicable procedures. You also perform delegated health and medical care services (HSL) in close collaboration with a nurse.
An important part of your work is to create security, calm, and continuity for our residents during the night hours. You are attentive to individual needs and adapt your working approach so that each person feels seen, respected, and well cared for.
You work together with experienced and committed colleagues where collaboration, responsibility, and care permeate the work. Together, you strive toward the same goal: to provide our residents with a safe, calm, and dignified night.
Salary:
For the position of nursing assistant in special residential care, the starting salary range is 29,000–34,000 kronor per month.
We apply individual salary setting. Final salary is determined based on education, relevant experience, competence, and responsibility in the role, as well as in accordance with applicable collective agreements.
Who are you?
We are seeking someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the requirements to use the protected professional title according to applicable regulations. We would like to see that you have experience in care and night work. Experience working with cognitive/medical functional disabilities or palliative care is also a merit.
We are seeking someone with a high degree of personal maturity and who can work independently with a safe and responsible approach. You are flexible and have an easy time adapting to both the organization's and the users' needs. You contribute to a positive work environment, have pedagogical insight, and can meet users in a clear, respectful, and individually tailored manner. Furthermore, you are service-oriented and have a holistic perspective where you always put the elderly person's well-being at the center.
Since all documentation and communication takes place in Swedish, it is important that you have a good command of the language, both spoken and written.
Before an employment offer, an acceptable excerpt from the police's criminal record register must be presented.
