The Workplace The Social Services Department in Karlsborg is responsible for elderly care, care for people with disabilities, municipal health and medical care, and individual and family services. The department has approximately 250 employees. The Short-term Care Unit is our municipal primary care department with 16 care beds. People come here for continued training and rehabilitation after hospital stays, but we also offer respite care, safety beds, waiting beds, and palliative care. The mission is broad and varied, and we always work with a rehabilitation and person-centered approach. The unit has a nursing care coordinator on site, and we have close collaboration with all licensed personnel – something that provides both security and good conditions in daily work. The work is based on assignments according to SoL and HSL, and as a nursing assistant you perform delegated health and medical care tasks.
