About the Operation Do you want to help create sustainable staffing solutions in healthcare? We are now seeking two dedicated staffing coordinators for the Surgical Clinic's inpatient care. This role is central to ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable staffing on our care units. You will be an important part of creating good conditions for both patients and staff. The Surgical Clinic's inpatient care provides specialized surgical care with a focus on high quality, patient safety, and a good work environment. As a staffing coordinator, you will work closely with unit managers, nursing staff, and other functions to ensure that the right expertise is in place every day. We are seeking two staffing coordinators for a time-limited assignment of two years, with the possibility of extension after evaluation. During the assignment period, you will be employed on a permanent basis in your core profession within the surgical clinic. The position is full-time (40 hours per week), where 75 percent of working time involves staffing coordination and 25 percent clinical work. Clinical work is carried out within the surgical clinic's inpatient care operations and includes service every fourth weekend. Work during major holidays is not included in the assignment. On-call compensation is provided according to current agreements. In this role, you will have the opportunity to combine clinical work with an operations-focused assignment where you contribute to the development of staffing work within the surgical clinic. You will be an important part of creating conditions for well-functioning, sustainable, and patient-safe care operations. Job Responsibilities As a staffing coordinator, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and quality-assuring staffing within the surgical clinic's inpatient care. In this role, you contribute to creating long-term sustainable solutions while managing the daily operational needs. Your main responsibilities are to: Plan and coordinate staffing based on operational needs Ensure that the right competencies are present for each shift according to the staffing plan Handle and register sick leave reports and childcare (VAB) in consultation with the unit manager Replace short- and long-term absences in a cost-effective and clinic-wide manner Set up and adjust scheduling periods, demand graphs, and personnel resources Review and adjust schedules based on operational needs and ensure that working time regulations are followed prior to approval by the unit manager Grant shorter leave in consultation with the unit manager Participate in developing the clinic's staffing procedures and work methods Collaborate with unit managers and other key functions to ensure efficient resource planning During vacation periods, the distribution between the assignments may be adjusted based on operational needs. Qualifications Requirements: Trained nursing assistant with a diploma from the Care and Support Program or the Care and Support vocational package at adult education, or licensed registered nurse Good understanding of care operations and staffing issues Good computer skills Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Personal Qualities: To thrive and succeed in this role, you are a structured and solution-oriented person with good collaboration skills. You communicate easily and build good relationships, are comfortable handling change, and can switch between short-term problem-solving and a long-term holistic perspective.
