About Us Welcome to Närhälsan Hjo Health Center, located right by the blue waters of Lake Vättern and serving approximately 7,200 registered patients. The health center has experienced strong patient growth over the past six years, and the trend continues. In addition to regular health center services, we also offer medical consultations, nurse-led specialist clinics, child health services, and a mental health clinic. The work includes independent work in the laboratory with sample collection and checks. Other tasks include assisting doctors with wound care and minor procedures, and performing common examinations such as blood pressure measurements and ECG examinations. Wound dressings and suture removal are part of our nursing assistant-led wound clinic, and managing your own clinic may also be included. You will work both independently and as part of a team with other staff at the health center. Supply ordering and preparing examination rooms are part of the daily work. We use the Asynja Visph medical records system. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, so mentoring students is also part of your role at the health center. About You You have documented training as a nursing assistant. You have previous experience working at a health center as well as venous blood sampling. It is an advantage if you have previous experience with wound care, suture removal, blood pressure measurement, and managing your own nursing assistant clinic. Mentor training is desirable. In this work you meet many patients, so it is important that you are approachable, responsive, and have a willingness to help others. We also believe that you enjoy teamwork and have a natural ability to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts in your work. Work load is varying and sometimes high, so it is important that you have a good ability to prioritize your tasks and be flexible. A professional approach and good treatment toward customers, patients, and colleagues are essential for you. As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant in healthcare and social services.
