We are now recruiting nursing assistants for Tjustgården's specialized residential care facility.
Your Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include providing care, assistance, and support to elderly residents based on their individual needs, as well as creating a meaningful daily life for them. We work according to a salutogenic approach, which means we recognize the strengths in each individual and what resources and capabilities they possess.
Your task will be to provide elderly residents with the care and treatment that reflects thoughtfulness, respect, and making a difference every day. This helps us add a special touch to their everyday lives. We offer challenging and stimulating work with great variety and the opportunity to make an impact.
You will work day and evening shifts according to schedule.
Your Qualifications
We want you to have a degree from a healthcare and care program or equivalent education.
It is a merit if you have previous work experience in healthcare and care.
What is most important to us is that you have a genuine interest in providing support and service to others. We value that you are positive, engaged, responsible, and flexible in your work approach. In your work, you will collaborate with users, their relatives, colleagues, and other professionals. Therefore, you need to work well with others. We also want you to be responsive and have good communication skills.
It is important that you have strong empathetic abilities and can listen to and understand the user's various needs, as well as have the willingness to meet these in the best possible way. The position requires that you are responsible, initiative-taking, and have a flexible work approach. We place great value on commitment to your work and a willingness to contribute to the success of our operations.
You have good IT skills and find it easy to work with our documentation and record-keeping systems.

To be eligible for employment in Västervik Municipality, you must provide an extract from the police criminal record register. You can order the extract here: HVB-hem, e-tjänst | Polismyndigheten. Please note that processing time can be up to 2 weeks. You will need to show your extract if you are offered a position.
As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant becomes a protected occupational title. This means you will need a certificate to have the right to use the title nursing assistant in healthcare and care. Read more about how to apply for a certificate here.
