About the Operations The Neuropsychiatry Operations Area is one of five adult psychiatric operations areas within Sahlgrenska University Hospital (SU) and is responsible for patients with neuropsychiatric disabilities, intellectual disabilities, eating disorders, deaf psychiatry, memory disorders, Huntington's disease and elderly psychiatric inpatient care. The operations are currently research-intensive with focus on cognitive disorders in adults, population studies regarding elderly health, suicide research and research in neuropsychiatry and eating disorders. Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic for Autism is an outpatient clinic that serves people with autism and psychiatric comorbidity. This encompasses a broad spectrum such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, OCD and more. Most patients referred to us come from various psychiatric clinics within SU. The work is based on teamwork collaboration, where physicians, nurses, psychologists, case workers, occupational therapists and administrators are currently involved. What Do We Offer? Your main placement will be at the Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic for Autism located on Första Långgatan in central Gothenburg, but based on the operations' needs and your interests, you may work in both outpatient and inpatient care. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the operations' on-call duties, which is seen as meritorious, educational and above all enjoyable! We offer you the opportunity to work as an assistant physician in an educational and developing environment at a workplace in Gothenburg with good access to supervision. The operations work with a team focus, evidence-based approach and are in constant development. There is an opportunity to participate in development work and/or research work. Good work as an assistant physician with us constitutes merit for AT, BT and ST in psychiatry. The position is a fixed-term contract for six months with the possibility of extension. Job Duties Regular work as an assistant physician in psychiatric care. About You We are looking for someone with a medical degree. If you hold a medical license, this is considered meritorious. Experience of work in healthcare, especially within psychiatry is also meritorious. You have an interest in psychiatry. You have a good ability to work independently when required but can also collaborate in a team when needed. You are efficient and results-oriented and at the same time thorough and interested in learning more. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis.
