VO6, Psychiatric Clinic The Psychiatric Clinic consists of inpatient care with 24-hour emergency services and outpatient psychiatric services in Falköping, Skövde, Lidköping, and Mariestad. The inpatient care includes four wards with a total of 58 beds in brand new and modern facilities at Skaraborg Hospital in Skövde, plus an additional 33 inpatient beds for forensic psychiatry in Falköping. Are you a junior physician curious about psychiatry? Adult psychiatry at Skaraborg Hospital is now seeking junior physicians for our psychiatric outpatient clinics. We're looking for you who are genuinely interested in meeting people and understanding the disease conditions that affect brain function. You should be capable of working independently to some extent. With us, you will receive: Orientation Supervision by a specialist physician In-depth knowledge in a specialist area with excellent opportunities for continued specialist training positions. Job Responsibilities At the psychiatric outpatient clinics, we work in multidisciplinary teams based on each patient's diagnosis. Each team is overseen by a senior physician who holds overall responsibility for patients, and as a junior physician you will work closely with the responsible senior physician. Your responsibilities include conducting adapted patient visits coordinated with your supervisor, prescribing medications, and issuing medical certificates. Qualifications We are looking for someone interested in adult psychiatry. You are a licensed physician, or alternatively have completed up to and including semester 9 or longer in your medical studies. If you are educated or licensed from a non-European country, you must have the authorization to work as a physician in Sweden. If you are studying medicine abroad, the requirement is that you study within the EU. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Other We are seeking junior physician temporary positions for fall 2026 and spring 2027. For appointments in psychiatry, we request excerpts from the suspicion and liability register. This request is handled by the employer. Interviews are ongoing and the position may be filled before the final application deadline.
