The Region's primary care conducts broad primary care services throughout Region Västerbotten and meets patients of all ages, both in urban and rural areas. With 33 health centers and clinics, we are where you are. We actively work with research and development and utilize medical findings to offer high-quality care where patients are involved. Primary Care West is a base unit and consists of four health centers in four municipalities: Vindeln, Vännäs, Bjurholm, and Umeå.
We are now seeking a physician with an interest in general medicine who wants to work within our base area, with current need at Backen Health Center.
Backen Health Center welcomes you to our knowledgeable and experienced workforce with low staff turnover, where you, together with us, contribute to developing work methods that promote patient safety, accessibility, and a good work environment. We have a clinical teaching clinic and together with other health centers we staff the primary care on-call service at Ålidhems Health Center.

DUTIES
As a licensed physician with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better.
As a physician at Backen Health Center, you will gain knowledge and experience of how primary care and the specialist field of general medicine work. We have extensive experience in mentoring and have a work approach that enables you to develop as a physician. We are committed to ensuring that physicians with us experience support and mentoring because we know it is important in the role. We work with a focus on continuity, patient safety, and quality.
You work independently with your own clinic and meet patients of all ages with various health-related issues; experienced physicians are available for support when consultation is needed.
You are active in the base unit's physician group and collaborate with other professional groups.
This position is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are primarily seeking someone with Swedish medical licensure, but those with a medical degree are also welcome to apply. You have an interest in general medicine. If you have previous experience working in primary care at a health center, we consider that a merit.
You are a present and positive person who, with knowledge and care, sees the patient and contributes to a holistic perspective that makes the care process better and safer. You enjoy collaborating and being there for other people. You function well with the work methods and flows we have in primary care, are self-directed, and can take responsibility for your workday.
You have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
