At Jämtkraft, you will contribute to a safe and sustainable energy supply. We are now seeking a maintenance technician for our district heating distribution network – an important role where you, together with colleagues, are responsible for ensuring that the district heating network operates stably and reliably in our owner municipalities.
About the job
In this role, you will plan, implement, and follow up on maintenance activities to ensure long-term and efficient operation of the distribution network. The work tasks are varied and include planned inspections of the distribution network, alarms, valves and facilities, as well as troubleshooting and locating potential leaks using technical systems. You will also participate in connecting new customers to the network and coordinate maintenance work such as valve replacements and pipe repairs.
An important part of the position is to lead and follow up on contractors' work during, for example, excavation and restoration. You are responsible for ensuring that work in the ground is carried out safely, correctly, and in accordance with applicable workplace and safety requirements. Documentation of changes and completed measures in our systems is also part of the daily work.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with upper secondary education in technology, energy, plumbing, electrical work, or another relevant field. If you have post-secondary education or experience in maintenance work within, for example, water and sanitation, energy, or similar activities, we view that as a plus.
To succeed in this role, you need to have a good understanding of heating systems and piping, be able to read and interpret drawings and maps, and have knowledge of flows and pressure in technical systems. You express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing, and computer proficiency is a plus.
A category B driver's license is a prerequisite for the position as travel is part of the work. If you also have a BE or C1 driver's license, that is appreciated and may be an advantage in the role.
As a person, you are thorough, structured, and solution-oriented. You enjoy working both independently and together with others, and you have the ability to handle unexpected situations calmly and effectively. We also believe that you are curious and want to develop within energy and sustainability.
Jämtkraft operates in a sector vital to society, which means that the position may be placed in a security classification.
On-call duty may be included in the position.
What we offer

We work together in secure teams where we dare to try new things, grow, and succeed. Here you will meet engaged people, a sustainable workplace, and the opportunity to combine a career with an active life.
At Jämtkraft, you are important. We think long-term, we invest in you, and we want you to feel good and help us move forward. Therefore, you do not need to be fully trained when you start. We will equip you with the skills you lack. Come as you are, because this is where you want to be!
