About the Company With our customer, you will become an important part of production and work to ensure that machines and equipment function safely, reliably, and efficiently. In this assignment, you will be employed by Effektiv and assigned as a consultant to our customer in Västerås. You will enter an industrial environment where your technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities make a concrete difference every day. What Does the Role Offer? As a maintenance mechanic, you will work on preventive and corrective maintenance of machines and production equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical problems, perform repairs, and replace worn or damaged components to ensure stable production with minimal downtime. The work may include maintenance of conveyors, storage systems, chains, belts, motors, and other mechanical parts. You will also perform inspections, adjustments, and planned maintenance tasks, as well as document completed work. The role involves close collaboration with production and other maintenance colleagues. You need to be able to prioritize when unexpected situations arise while working in a structured and safety-conscious manner. The position is full-time with working hours on a 2-shift schedule. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with experience in mechanical maintenance, repairs, or equivalent technical work in industry or production. You have a genuine technical interest and are experienced in troubleshooting, identifying the root cause of problems, and finding working solutions. You are practically minded and comfortable using tools and working with various types of machines and mechanical components. Experience with preventive maintenance, welding, hydraulics, or pneumatics is a plus, as is a forklift license. As a person, you are responsible, solution-oriented, and thorough. You understand the importance of safety and quality and ensure that work is completed correctly. You enjoy collaborating but can also work independently and make decisions when the situation requires it. Is This Your Perfect Match?
