As a maintenance mechanic at RMIG, you'll have a varied role close to production, where you work with both preventive maintenance and urgent interventions. About the Position As a maintenance mechanic at RMIG, you play a central role in ensuring that operations run as they should. Daily, you and the maintenance department face situations where you must prioritize between planned maintenance and urgent production interventions. You'll be involved in the entire chain, from troubleshooting to repair and improvement work, which means a varied day-to-day experience where you constantly face new technical challenges and personal development opportunities. Your main responsibilities: - Preventive maintenance of production equipment - Troubleshooting and repair of machinery - Proactive improvement work to ensure operational reliability - Contribute to the development of maintenance methods and routines - Manage spare parts availability through supplier contact, quotation requests, and procurement - Actively contribute to a safe, ergonomic, and efficient work environment The machinery park consists largely of older equipment, which requires creativity, problem-solving ability, and a genuine technical interest. The position is full-time, daytime hours, Monday–Friday. You will be offered employment by RMIG Sweden AB starting immediately/as agreed. At the same time, you're self-driven and confident in making your own decisions, analytical in your approach, and skilled at drawing conclusions during troubleshooting. To succeed in this role, we see that you: - Have solid experience in maintenance or repair work within industry - Have good understanding of reading mechanical drawings - Have experience with welding, primarily MIG/MAG and stick welding - Enjoy practical work and have a good understanding of how machinery functions It's an advantage if you have experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, and/or automation, as well as machining on lathes and mills. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and are looking for someone who is organized, thorough, and responsible with a strong service mindset toward production. You're also proactive, flexible, and enjoy a day-to-day environment with variety. For you, it's a given to work with a strong safety mindset in everything you do. We see that you have good computer skills and administrative capability, and feel comfortable working in digital systems. Further, you communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written; English is an advantage. A driver's license is required for this position.
