Famma is seeking an experienced maintenance engineer in mechanical systems for a consulting assignment with a client in the energy and process industry in Stockholm. This assignment is ideal for you if you have experience with maintenance and operations in technically complex facilities and enjoy a role where you combine long-term planning with operational execution. Assignment Period: September 14, 2026 – January 31, 2027 Scope: Full-time Location: Hässelby, Stockholm Application Deadline: September 10, 2026 Number of Consultants: 1 Overtime: Not included in the assignment Candidates are reviewed and presented on a rolling basis, and the assignment may be filled before the application deadline. About the Assignment As a maintenance engineer in mechanical systems, you will primarily work with planning and developing preventive maintenance for a large energy and production facility. You will work closely with internal workshops, external suppliers, the operations organization, mechanics, procurement, health and safety functions, and other maintenance engineers. You are responsible for driving maintenance work from start to finish and work both operatively and strategically to ensure a safe and available facility. Example Work Tasks • Plan preventive, condition-based, and improvement-focused mechanical maintenance • Prioritize and schedule maintenance activities in the short and long term • Work within assigned budget responsibility • Participate in procurement and ordering of maintenance services • Plan and coordinate inspection and maintenance work • Follow up and quality assure completed work • Update and maintain information in maintenance systems • Coordinate external suppliers and internal resources • Identify improvement opportunities and actively drive initiatives forward • Contribute to safe maintenance work and high facility availability Required Qualifications We are looking for you who have: • Technical university degree or equivalent education combined with relevant professional experience • Experience working with maintenance and operations • Knowledge of pressure vessel regulations • Very good communication skills • Excellent Swedish language skills in both spoken and written form Meritorious Qualifications It is particularly meritorious if you have: • Experience from thermal power plants, combined heat and power plants, or similar process/energy facilities • Experience with mechanical maintenance in large industrial facilities • Experience with planning and execution of inspection work • Experience working with suppliers and procurement of technical maintenance services Personal Qualities To succeed in this role, we see that you are: • Structured and accustomed to planning your work • Driven and solution-oriented • Administratively skilled • Team-oriented and communicative • Independent while thriving with many points of contact You have the ability to see both the big picture and the details and work methodically to move activities from planning through execution.
