As a Track Maintenance Engineer at Södra Malmbanan, you will contribute to a safe and stable railway system and the development of future railway maintenance. Welcome with your application! Job Responsibilities One of Trafikverket's current development initiatives is the establishment of proprietary development platforms aimed at creating conditions for increased learning and more efficient maintenance. The development platforms have different focus areas, and one of the platforms is dedicated to remedial and preventive maintenance of Södra Malmbanan including Haparandabanan (SMB). As a maintenance engineer, you will work together with your colleagues in the project team to ensure the maintenance of the railway facility and follow up on ordered maintenance measures. You contribute with your technical expertise in track technology and you represent a crucial resource by being on-site in the facility and monitoring the facility's condition. You are a central part of the team's collection of materials for improvement proposals, and you will be involved in leading development activities within your area. The production manager, project engineer, maintenance engineers, contracted consultants, and contractors work together to deliver a safe and accessible railway facility that in turn meets society's needs for travel and transport on SMB. Qualifications You are an engaged team player who builds trust. You are self-motivated, proactive, structured, and quality-conscious in your commitments and have strong analytical skills. We are looking for someone who has: High school education in technology or other educational background combined with experience that we consider equivalent Current and relevant experience working with railways and track technology Express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish Driver's license for a passenger car. It is also desirable if you have: Experience in project management and systematic follow-up work against contract requirements Knowledge of contract law BAS-P/BAS-U experience.
