At Sandvik Coromant in Gimo, our maintenance plays a critical role in ensuring safe, stable, and efficient production. We are now seeking two committed and experienced maintenance managers who want to be part of developing our operations and our employees – one for mechanical maintenance and one for process maintenance.
Your Role
As a maintenance manager, you have overall responsibility for safety, personnel, operations, and results within either mechanical or process maintenance. You lead and develop your team members while driving improvement initiatives to strengthen the facility's availability, operational reliability, and efficiency.
You work closely with production, engineering, project activities, and other functions to ensure that maintenance work contributes to the organization's long-term goals.
Your main areas of responsibility include:
Lead, coach, and develop employees and teams.
Drive proactive and systematic maintenance work.
Ensure a safe work environment and a strong safety culture.
Manage budget, resources, and operations monitoring.
Drive improvement and change initiatives.
Develop working methods, processes, and competence within the organization.
Collaborate with production and other functions to create an efficient operation.
Your Profile
We are looking for a confident and experienced leader with documented experience leading personnel in industrial operations. You have a genuine understanding of maintenance operations and see the connection between technology, people, and business.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
Several years of experience in management positions with personnel responsibility.
A background in industrial maintenance such as maintenance supervisor, maintenance engineer, maintenance manager, or equivalent.
Good understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance as well as improvement work.
Experience driving change and developing organizations.
Ability to create engagement, participation, and results through present leadership.
Good communication skills in Swedish and English.
As a person, you build trust and create strong relationships, while having the courage to make decisions and drive change. You are organized and results-oriented, enjoy developing both people and operations, and can combine strategic thinking with operational presence.
