About the Role
As an automation technician in industry, you are responsible for installation, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated systems and machines. The role encompasses work with everything from robots and advanced production equipment to control systems (PLC).
You are a key person in developing and optimizing operations. This means you work both practically in the facility and digitally with programming, system analysis, and technical problem-solving.
The position includes:

This is a role for you who thrives at the intersection of technology, automation, and practical work – with the goal of contributing to modern, safe, and reliable production.
Your Main Responsibilities
• PLC programming and adjustment of control systems
• Preventive maintenance and emergency interventions during downtime
• General troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving
• Contact with suppliers related to service, spare parts, and technical issues
• Reporting and documentation in our maintenance system
• Participation in cross-functional meetings and improvement forums
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with relevant education in electrical and automation, preferably with experience in industrial maintenance and work related to electrical engineering. The role requires good technical understanding and a structured, solution-oriented work approach.
• Education in electrical engineering, automation
• Experience with industrial maintenance is a merit, especially in electrical work
• Valid driver's license (Class B)
• Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English
• German is a merit
• Control and regulation technology (e.g., PLC systems, measurement technology, and signal tracing)
• Robotics and operation of industrial robots
• Operation and maintenance of production equipment, including preventive and corrective measures
Who Are We?
We are a maintenance group consisting of 24 employees with broad and complementary expertise. The team includes electricians, mechanics, shift leaders, planners, and maintenance coordinators, which allows us to cover the full spectrum of maintenance needs – from emergency interventions to strategic improvement work.
We work closely with a neighboring group with comparable readiness, which creates stability, flexibility, and a robust organization capable of handling both planned and unplanned maintenance activities. Collaboration between groups is a natural part of our work approach and follows established maintenance processes and meeting structures within Scania Industrial Maintenance, such as daily management.
Our common goal is to deliver the right technical availability for production and the machine park. We continuously work to develop both our own expertise and our working methods – always in close dialogue with production personnel – to ensure stable operations, high quality, and long-term sustainable solutions.
