About the Job The automotive website Carup.se is seeking a bilingual automotive journalist and web editor who can write and edit engaging articles about cars and the automotive industry. We are an independent site with the latest news about cars and traffic, and we want to inspire, reveal, and guide our readers through the exciting world of automobiles. Since the automotive industry is completely global, a large part of our research, news monitoring, and sourcing happens in English. We are therefore looking for someone who is a driven and skillful writer in Swedish, but who has a command of English that matches that of a native speaker. You have the ability to rapidly translate, reframe, and write about international news as compelling and engaging Swedish web journalism – without losing nuance or facts along the way. About the Role As an automotive journalist and web editor at Carup, you will, among other things: Find, monitor, and write news about cars, traffic, and the automotive industry from both Swedish and international sources. Write and edit articles about cars, traffic, and car ownership in both Swedish and English. Publish content on the web, find engaging visual solutions, and package news for maximum reach. To succeed in this role, you are a creative person who loves telling exciting stories. You are accustomed to a fast news cycle, meticulous with facts, and able to stay calm when the news flow is intense. We believe you have: Journalism training and experience with editorial work (experience from daily press or major web publications is a merit). Exceptional language skills in both Swedish and English. You write flawless, vivid Swedish and have a perfect command of English for international research and interviews. A genuine and deep interest in and knowledge of cars and the automotive industry. A sharp eye for images and a proven instinct for headlines that engage. Good knowledge of publishing tools and common programs such as Photoshop. About Us We are a tight, fast-moving team that works mostly remotely.
