The resource preschool is designed for children with various forms of disabilities and extensive support needs. This can include, for example, intellectual disabilities, neuropsychiatric disabilities, and medical or other care-related needs. We offer meaningful and developmental work where security, relationship building, care, communication, and individually adapted support are at the center. Together we create an accessible, stimulating, and educational environment where each child has the opportunity to develop based on their own conditions, needs, and strengths. Work Tasks As an employee in the resource preschool, you work closely with children who need special support and sometimes extensive support measures. You have an important role in creating a safe, structured, and developmental learning environment where children have the opportunity to be included, communicate, develop, and feel security and joy in their daily lives. The operation is based on a relational, low-affect, and inclusive approach. You need to be able to meet children with different ways of communicating and different needs for support and adaptations. As part of the work team, you work together with preschool teachers and other colleagues to plan, implement, document, and follow up the pedagogical work. The assignment also involves close collaboration with guardians and other professionals, such as special educators, rehabilitation, and health and medical care, when relevant. You actively work to support children's: communication and language social interaction and relationships independence and participation motor and cognitive development learning and play security and well-being The work also includes care and support in children's daily lives, based on each child's individual needs and conditions. For some children, the work involves medical and care-related needs according to current routines and delegations. This can include, for example, tube feeding or other medical interventions. Qualifications For this position, we are looking for someone with a childcare worker diploma combined with care education as a nursing assistant or other equivalent care/support education to meet the medical needs that will exist in the assignment. It is important that you feel confident in meeting children who may have large and varying needs for support—pedagogical, social, and care-related. You need to be able to follow individual routines and instructions and understand the importance of structure, continuity, and a professional approach.
