HI! I'm a 9-year-old girl and right now I'm looking for you to become my new personal assistant. I'm a happy and active girl who loves listening to music, dancing, running, and jumping. I like to be on the move, but sometimes I also enjoy quiet moments with my tablet. I have autism and an intellectual disability. I communicate with single words and use visual supports to make myself understood. I understand much of what is said to me and need clear and safe adults around me. Since I lack risk awareness and can sometimes run off or put things in my mouth, I need constant supervision. I can also become reactive when something becomes difficult, which is why I need a calm and safe assistant who can help me in different situations. I have both a cat and a dog, so it's important that you're not allergic. You will be employed by Vivida Assistans, which is my assistance company, but you'll perform the actual work at my home. If you have experience with autism, challenging behavior, and low-key interaction, that's a big plus, but the most important thing is that we're a good fit and that you want to get to know me. WHAT A TYPICAL WORKDAY CAN LOOK LIKE During a day with me, you help me understand my day, make myself understood, and create safety in different situations. Sometimes you need to help me get started with activities when motivation isn't quite there. This can involve creative ways to spark my interest and do fun things together. Since I need constant supervision, you're always near me, both inside and outside, to help me feel safe and secure in my everyday life. WORK HOURS AND EMPLOYMENT LEVELS Approx. 30%. Working hours are primarily on weekends, but also some afternoons/evenings. For example, weekends 8am-8pm and afternoons/evenings 4pm-10pm. For the right person, there's some flexibility around working hours. This is a perfect side job for you if you're studying. WHEN CAN YOU START WORKING WITH ME? I need a new assistant immediately, so it's good if you're available as soon as possible. Otherwise, we can agree on a date if it feels like we're a good fit!
