Alfa Laval in Ronneby is seeking a Truck and Lifting Equipment Manager As Truck Manager, you play a key role in the factory's logistics flow. You are responsible for ensuring that the truck fleet operates optimally. Together with the Team Manager, you support compliance with safety regulations and ensure that truck drivers have the right conditions to perform their work efficiently. This role is also responsible for coordinating overhead cranes and pallet racks, ensuring that repairs/assembly/service and inspections are performed at regular intervals. Main Responsibilities Your areas of responsibility are divided into three main categories: Equipment Fleet, Safety & Personnel, and Operations. Responsibility for Equipment Fleet & Maintenance Operational Management: Overall responsibility for the factory's truck fleet (e.g., counterbalance forklifts, straddle carriers, articulated stackers). Conduct truck forums to coordinate work across the factory. Service & Repairs: Act as contact person with external service technicians and suppliers. Schedule preventative maintenance and emergency repairs. Daily Inspections: Together with the Team Manager, ensure that daily inspections and self-checks are performed by drivers according to procedure. Linde Connect: Administer and retrieve information from Linde Connect. Charging Stations: Together with the 5S responsible party, oversee charging stations and battery change points to ensure order and functionality. Procurement/Leasing: Participate in defining requirements and procurement of new equipment or accessories. Work toward standardization of the truck fleet. Safety & Personnel Training & Onboarding: Support Team Manager in production and logistics to ensure personnel have required training and assist with training as needed. Work Environment: Actively work to minimize risks, report near-misses/accidents, and conduct investigations following collisions or damage to goods/racks. Traffic Planning: Review and update the factory's traffic rules, walkways, and truck routes to prevent collisions. Coaching: Support drivers in their daily work and encourage safe and fuel-/battery-efficient driving practices. Operational Work Process Optimization: Work on improvement areas in internal material flow related to trucks and suggest improvements. SOPs: Develop and maintain SOPs (standard operating procedures) for the service. Inventory Management: Keep track of accessories and equipment related to the trucks. Qualifications and Requirements To succeed in this role, we see that you have the following background: Mandatory Requirements Forklift License: Valid forklift license A+B+D (preferably C if required by operations). Experience: At least 3–5 years of experience operating forklifts in industrial or warehouse environments. Technical Understanding: Basic knowledge of how forklifts function to perform simple troubleshooting before calling for service. Language: Good proficiency in Swedish, spoken and written (for safety communication and documentation). IT Skills: Good knowledge of the Office suite (primarily Excel and Outlook). General IT proficiency is a requirement. Merits Experience in team leadership or supervisory roles. Forklift instructor certification. Experience with LEAN or 5S methodologies. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (D365/VMS). Procurement experience. Personal Qualities Safety-Conscious: You never compromise on safety and speak up if rules are not followed. Organized: You maintain structure in documentation, service protocols, and schedules. Communicative: You can communicate with everyone from truck drivers and production personnel to external suppliers.
