Ref: 20261652 Welcome to Trevnaden, a group home in central Malmö for people with dementia and extended care needs. Here we work with a target group that requires extra support, structure, and competence in daily care work. Trevnaden is centrally located in Malmö, near Södervärn. The residence has a large, park-like garden with walking paths, flowers, berry bushes, and a grilling area. The facility has five floors consisting of eight to ten apartments. On each floor there are open common spaces for our residents. Trevnaden is a "star-marked" residence. Star-marked is an educational model developed by Swedish Dementia Centre, which certifies that staff have received basic knowledge of dementia diseases and tools for working in a person-centered manner. Job Responsibilities As a nursing assistant at Trevnaden's group home, you will work with people who have dementia with extended care needs. All our work is permeated by TERMA. You will work with people experiencing behavioral and psychological symptoms due to dementia, known as BPSD. Examples of these symptoms may include aggression, anxiety, apathy, hallucinations, or sleep disturbances. In your role as a nursing assistant, you will provide care, service, support, and conduct social activities based on each user's individual needs and preferences. Being able to see and interpret the residents' needs and wishes is important as we work in a person-centered manner at the residence. Your work also includes developing implementation plans and BPSD plans with high quality standards. The work also includes cleaning, laundry, providing advice and information, and motivating and stimulating residents to help them manage as much as possible independently. The work requires medical care work following delegation by a nurse. You will be a contact person for one or two residents, and your role as contact person involves ensuring the resident's needs are met. Documentation in the Lifecare system is also part of your responsibilities. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is trained as a nursing assistant and has studied psychiatry as part of your education. You have substantial experience working in dementia care, BPSD, and experience working according to a person-centered approach. We would like to see that you have previously worked with people with dementia and extended care needs. Star-marked training is a plus. TERMA training is an advantage. It is also important that you have an interest in working with person-centered care to create a meaningful daily life for our residents. The work requires good experience in documenting and working based on established implementation plans, BPSD plans, and social documentation. We require that you can express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing. Training in person-centered care and knowledge of Lifecare, Senior Alert, and Flexite is meriting. As a nursing assistant, you actively participate in care work, maintain a professional approach, are solution-focused, take great personal responsibility, and are positive about change and development work. You can adapt to and handle situations that may occur when working with this target group. Collaboration is an important part of working at Trevnaden, and we therefore expect you to be a good colleague who can support your coworkers when needed.
