Do you want to make a difference for children and families – and have fun at work at the same time? The Family Unit in Kumla is now seeking three social workers for our case management team working with children and youth. Two temporary positions and one permanent position. We're looking for someone who wants to help shape the future of social work. Our unit is divided into a statutory services group and open-care services, which allows us to work broadly and in a coordinated way around families. 3 position(s). WORK TASKS The temporary positions are an investigations role and a preliminary assessment role. As an investigator, you work with investigating and following up on children and youth's need for support. You meet children, parents, and other important people in the child's life and build relationships that make a difference. As a preliminary assessor, you are the social service's first point of contact and receive and handle both applications and reports concerning children and youth. The temporary positions are time-limited for 1 year. The permanent position is a child-following role. As a child follower, you are the social worker for placed children. You work closely with our family-placement coordinators and are responsible for following up on children's situations in foster care and in HVB (residential care homes). Our goal is that you will have: • a reasonable workload and close support in your daily work • supervision and support from experienced team leaders • work in a team with colleagues from both statutory services and open care • a clear introduction and opportunity for mentorship • possibility for flexible working hours and remote work We invest in your development! You'll receive training in MI (Motivational Interviewing), a method that runs throughout our entire operation. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone who: • has a social work degree • is dedicated, responsible, and confident in meeting with people • enjoys working independently but also in a team • has a B-category driver's license It's a merit to have experience in statutory authority work within children and families and knowledge of BBIC and MI.
