About the Position Personal assistance is a service under the LSS (Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that arises in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributes to making everyday life run smoothly. Each assistance assignment is uniquely tailored to the client's life, and therefore work tasks may vary depending on the workplace. The client is a 40-year-old woman living in Hässelby. Following a traffic accident, she uses a wheelchair and has extensive physical support needs in her daily life. She communicates her own needs, wishes, and decisions. The assignment involves being her extended arms and legs, and providing the practical support she needs to live her life exactly as she wishes. Your tasks include providing support with personal care, dressing and undressing, meal preparation and dining, transfers, and household work such as cleaning and laundry. The role also includes support with health and self-care. A crucial factor in this assignment is understanding the client's self-determination. It is important that you can distinguish between supporting and controlling, and that you never give unsolicited advice or try to influence her choices. Who Are You? The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. You are professional in your interactions, thorough, and very integrity-conscious. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you as an assistant and the client. For this position, you must have: Previous experience working as a personal assistant. Good physical fitness (as heavy lifting and support with transfers occur) For this position, it is an advantage if you: Have experience with self-care such as catheter management and leg braces Speak Greek. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Working Hours, Employment Level, and Salary The current employment form is "for the duration of the assistance assignment." We are currently seeking staff for three different fixed schedule slots on a rotating 2-week schedule. During night shifts (21:00–07:00), on-call duty applies. Please clearly indicate in your application which of these positions you are applying for: Position 1: 50% Employment Week 1: Monday and Tuesday 09:00–17:00. Week 2: Thursday 09:00 to Friday 09:00 (24-hour shift including on-call night duty) and Saturday 09:00–17:00. Position 2: 60% Employment Week 1: Tuesday 17:00–00:00 and Friday 17:00 to Saturday 17:00 (24-hour shift including on-call night duty). Week 2: Monday 09:00–17:00, Friday 09:00–17:00, and Sunday 17:00 to Monday 09:00 (night shift including on-call duty). Position 3: 42.5% Employment Week 1: Thursday 17:00 to Friday 09:00 (night shift including on-call duty). Week 2: Tuesday 17:00 to Wednesday 09:00 (night shift including on-call duty), Friday 17:00 to Saturday 09:00 (night shift including on-call duty), and Sunday 09:00–17:00. Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement. Start date by agreement.
