TRANSPORT PLANNER AT TEMPCON TOMMY NORDBERGH ÅKERI Do you want to work with transport planning in an operation where the pace is high, decision-making is fast, and no two days are the same? Tempcon Tommy Nordbergh Åkeri is now looking for an additional Transport Planner to join the team. Here you will have an important role with significant individual responsibility and close contact with drivers, colleagues, and customers. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a Transport Planner, you are responsible for daily traffic management for one of the company's major customers. The customer sets the parameters for transportation in terms of locations, times, and other conditions. Your task is to ensure that the right driver and the right vehicle are in the right place at the right time. A large part of the work revolves around our drivers and vehicles. You plan staffing and vehicle resources, maintain ongoing dialogue with drivers, and monitor traffic throughout the day. The transport industry is dynamic, and when conditions change, you need to quickly be able to reprioritize, make decisions, and find solutions that work for the customer, the driver, and the operation. Your tasks include, among other things: Plan and manage daily traffic Ensure correct staffing and vehicle resources Maintain ongoing contact with drivers Follow up on traffic and handle changes and deviations Prioritize and solve problems that arise during the day Ensure that the assignment is completed according to customer requirements and set goals Work closely with colleagues to create efficient and sustainable transport solutions The goal is clear: the right driver and the right vehicle in the right place at the right time, every day of the year. QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL QUALITIES We are looking for someone with experience from the trucking industry and a good understanding of traffic management, transport planning, and logistics. You thrive in an operational role where planning may need to change quickly and where your ability to stay calm and find solutions becomes crucial. As a person, you are a team player who helps your colleagues and contributes to good collaboration. At the same time, you are confident in making your own decisions and can be direct and clear in your communication when the situation demands it. To succeed in this role, we believe you are structured, solution-oriented, and accustomed to staying one step ahead. You also need to be comfortable with the flexibility that the transport industry entails, as the position includes some on-call duty and weekend work. We are looking for someone with: Experience from the trucking industry Experience in traffic management and/or transport planning High school education Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Good computer skills and knowledge of the Office package It is a merit if you also have: CE driver's license Experience with domestic long-distance transportation Experience with food transport Post-secondary education in logistics or traffic management Experience with TransPA and T5 Very good IT and system skills ABOUT THE POSITION This is a permanent position.
