Dalaregementet Swedish Armed Forces defend Sweden, the country's interests, our freedom, and our right to live as we choose. Dalaregementet is an infantry unit that fights on foot and carries all its equipment. We are one of Sweden's winter units where fighting on foot in winter means fighting on skis. Therefore, good physical performance capacity is a prerequisite for our combat units to fulfill their missions and a natural and prioritized part of service for all personnel and conscripts. About the workplace As a physical performance coach, you will be placed in the Physical Combat Readiness and Physical Performance Department. The department is part of Swedish Armed Forces Health Falun, which provides free healthcare for conscripts, cadets, and students. We are also an internal occupational health service for Swedish Armed Forces employees and have the task of offering health promotion, prevention, and aftercare services at individual, group, and organizational levels. Here work doctors, district nurses, occupational health nurses, physiotherapists, occupational health engineers, and medical secretaries. Main responsibilities Your main role is to support commanders and instructors at Dalaregementet in planning, implementing, developing, and following up routines for military physical training and our employees' physical performance capacity in relation to the demands of combat positions. As a coach with us, you will be part of a multiprofessional team and support, among other things, the Armed Forces Health service in creating routines for effective and safe physical training of conscripts and employees. You will support the regiment's training organization in developing plans for load and recovery, and participate in implementing physical training for conscripts. You are responsible for establishing, maintaining, and developing Dalaregementet's resources for physical training according to Swedish Armed Forces guidelines. Qualifications Sports science education in a relevant academic field Driving license category B Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish Merit factors Good personal physical performance capacity to be able to participate and serve as a role model Completed military service Experience from the Swedish Armed Forces Experience working with MFT (Military Physical Training) and FM FysS (Swedish Armed Forces Physical Standard) Experience in military sports (e.g., orienteering, cross-country skiing, orienteering shooting, biathlon, shooting, military pentathlon) Experience working in multiprofessional teams Experience in education and implementation of physical training at organizational level Experience organizing competitions and training camps Experience in project management Personal qualities We are looking for someone who is confident and stable, as well as self-motivated and enjoys collaborating with other professions. It is important that you are responsible, flexible, and take initiative to meet the needs that arise in our operations. You have good judgment and a high level of security awareness. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. Additional information Employment form: Permanent employment Service level: Full-time Working hours: 40 hours/week, daytime Mon-Fri, but service may be conducted outside regular working hours. Work location: Falun, but service at another location may occur.
