Description The City Environment Administration has overall responsibility for the city's public spaces and collective accessibility. We work to create accessible, attractive, and vibrant urban environments and natural areas. The administration owns and manages the tram network in Gothenburg. Approximately 1,000 people work at the administration. The City Environment Administration is part of the city development administrations in Gothenburg City. Job Responsibilities Do you want to help develop the city's traffic environments and contribute to a sustainable and well-functioning Gothenburg? As a Traffic Analyst with us, you work with traffic analysis and traffic design in both small and large, simple and more complex projects. You participate in and independently drive various types of development work that often includes environmental analyses. An important part of the work is producing texts, new design principles, standard drawings, and illustrations for the Technical Handbook. Examples of ongoing projects include: • Development of principles for selection and design of different street types • Development of design principles for through-paths • Development of principles for design and planning of mixed-traffic streets in the cycling network • Development of sight distance requirements The work requires traffic planning expertise with an understanding of design and planning, as well as the ability to balance function, place, and an overall perspective. You work systematically with traffic analyses and have a strong ability to express yourself in writing. Qualifications We are looking for someone with engineering education or equivalent experience and several years of experience in traffic design in complex urban environments. You have high traffic engineering expertise and are committed to contributing to sustainable and well-functioning solutions in the city's public spaces.
