We're now looking for an experienced Traffic Strategist for our traffic development department. About the Role As a Traffic Strategist, you'll drive the long-term development of public transportation in Västra Götaland. This is a central role with significant responsibility for translating overarching goals, strategies, and action plans into concrete and feasible traffic proposals. You'll be part of one or two geographic teams and work closely with colleagues at Västtrafik, as well as collaborating with external partners in cross-functional settings. The role requires both analytical sharpness and relationship-building skills – you'll succeed by combining traffic expertise with collaboration. Your responsibilities will include: - Driving and contributing to long-term traffic change proposals within geographic teams - Identifying needs for traffic changes and developing, analyzing, and assessing traffic proposals - Translating Traffic Supply Programs, target visions, and strategies into concrete traffic planning - Contributing to annual traffic planning and preliminary studies related to traffic development - Participating in projects and assignments within traffic development, infrastructure, and urban planning - Providing requirements, analyses, and knowledge about public transportation needs in external contexts Who Are You? Qualifications We're looking for someone with: - Relevant education for the role and/or equivalent professional experience - Several years of experience working with public transportation development, preferably with experience in "timetable construction" and good understanding of circulation planning - Documented experience with both operational and strategic traffic development - Good understanding of how traffic changes are analyzed, calculated, and assessed - Experience collaborating with different functions and stakeholders This role is for someone who has built confidence in their expertise and wants to use it in a larger context. The position may involve travel to our various offices in the Västra Götaland region. Depending on the assignment, the position may also be classified as security-sensitive.
