đŒ Responsibilities
As a traffic manager, you are responsible for planning, booking, and monitoring export shipments of temperature-sensitive goods. You own your flows from start to finish and ensure that shipments are executed according to established requirements for quality, timeliness, and profitability. The role is characterized by freedom with responsibility, where you are expected to independently drive your flows and take responsibility for results. You work operationally in a fast-paced environment where you manage multiple parallel shipments simultaneously and need to quickly prioritize and make decisions when conditions change. You work daily in close collaboration with customers, carriers, and internal functions. Beyond operational responsibilities, you also play an important role in developing partnerships with carriers through monitoring, dialogue, and continuous improvement.
You will, among other things:
Plan and book export shipments of temperature-sensitive goods
Ensure the cold chain is maintained throughout the transport flow
Have daily contact with customers, carriers, and international partners
Follow up on deliveries and handle deviations and rescheduling
Prioritize and make quick decisions when conditions change
Contribute to monitoring and developing the carrier network and partnerships
đ Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities
Experience in operational traffic management, forwarding, or similar coordinating role
Good understanding of transport flows and planning
Excellent Swedish language skills and good English language skills
Meritorious:
Experience with temperature-controlled transport (Frigo)
Experience with export flows or international logistics
Experience with supplier dialogue or carrier contacts
Additional language skills, such as German, French, Polish, and/or Dutch
To thrive in this role, you take responsibility for your shipments and drive your work forward on your own initiative. You are confident in making decisions in an operational day where the pace is fast and conditions can change quickly. You work in a structured manner and have the ability to prioritize when multiple transport flows are ongoing in parallel. At the same time, you have a business-minded approach and understand how your decisions impact cost, quality, and partnerships with carriers. The role also requires that you are communicative and collaboration-oriented, as you have ongoing contact with both customers and carriers. You build relationships by being solution-oriented and following up on what you are responsible for.
