We are in an exciting phase following a reorganization that has strengthened our working methods and collaboration. Within the administration, we work on developing and managing the municipality's traffic systems and public environments.
The administration consists of five departments and approximately 145 dedicated employees. Together we work with everything from planning and authority operations to projects, production, operations and business support. Our shared mission is to create accessible, attractive and vibrant environments – for citizens, visitors and business.
The position is placed at the Authority unit within the Infrastructure and Public Environments department.

WORK TASKS
We are now looking for another traffic engineer to our Authority unit, which is responsible for managing the municipality's streets, roads and public places as well as authority operations within our areas of responsibility. An important part of the traffic engineer assignment is authority operations within the traffic area, and you will work with varying traffic matters such as traffic arrangement plans, transport permits, local traffic regulations, signage, road equipment plans, parking issues and traffic safety matters. You will also have contact with the public and answer questions and receive feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have at least three years of higher education in traffic/urban planning or other education/experience that the employer considers equivalent. We would like to see that you have worked a few years within the traffic field and have knowledge of traffic planning, traffic regulations, local traffic regulations and traffic arrangement plans. You need to have good digital skills as all work is conducted in various digital systems.
You are aware of the importance of traffic issues for residents, business and visitors and you focus on conscious communication and dialogue both within and outside the administration.
You are a driven person who can quickly switch between different tasks on your own initiative during a working day. You are goal-oriented and inspiring confidence and care about providing good service to the public, colleagues and partners. We believe that you are attentive, thorough and flexible in your work and enjoy working both independently and in a group. You can express yourself well in Swedish both orally and in writing.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability for the position.
Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment form: Permanent employment.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-11-01. Start date by agreement.
