Job Responsibilities
As a Traffic Officer with us, you will, among other things:
Work with operation and maintenance of lighting.
Administer local traffic regulations and responses to referrals.
Manage cases in the case management system and handle incoming citizen feedback.
Participate in projects related to streets, pedestrian and bicycle paths, and traffic environments – both in new construction and improvement of existing areas.
Act as an expert on traffic matters and contribute to a safe and well-functioning traffic environment.
Work with regulatory authority duties, such as parking permits for people with disabilities, leasing of public land, and vehicle removal.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
Relevant higher education or vocational education, for example in traffic, civil development, or related field.
Experience with traffic and street issues, preferably from municipal activities or the consulting industry.
A particular interest in traffic safety and sustainable community development.
Good knowledge of relevant traffic legislation, such as the Planning and Building Act (PBL), the Traffic Sign Ordinance, and the Traffic Ordinance.
Very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
Category B driver's license.
It is meritorious if you have:
Several years of experience with regulatory authority duties.
Experience working with operation and maintenance of street lighting.
Good English language skills, both spoken and written.
Good local knowledge.

You have good analytical skills and are used to independently being able to prioritize, make decisions, and drive your work forward. You communicate clearly and adapt your dialogue to the situation and audience – whether it concerns colleagues, external parties, or the public.
You see how traffic and street planning issues affect the municipality's development and can connect your work to overarching goals. You are proactive and find it easy to create good collaborations, while building trust in your contacts both internally and externally.
The role is multifaceted and requires flexibility, commitment, and the ability to familiarize yourself with new issues. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
