Workplace Description
Our school, Hjulsta Elementary School, is an F-9 school with approximately 400 students located 100 meters from the Hjulsta subway station, the first station on the blue line. Many students come from different cultures and most have Swedish as their second language, which enriches, develops, and challenges our daily work. School leadership consists of a principal, assistant principals, an administrative manager, and a staff of approximately 90 people, of which about half are teachers. We have a complete student welfare team consisting of a school counselor, three special education teachers, a school social worker, school nurse, and school psychologist.
Our students should be given the opportunity to develop their best selves, with good knowledge and well-developed skills for the future. Those of us who work at Hjulsta Elementary School want to make a difference, and with great commitment and extensive knowledge we work together. Now we're accelerating the school's joint development work toward higher goal achievement. Our primary focus for the coming school year is developing teaching that is based on scientific foundations and proven experience. Since fall term 2019, Hjulsta Elementary School has intensified its work with systematically developing instruction. A lecturer position has been filled and our new lecturer has responsibility as part of their role to lead practice-oriented and research-focused development work at the school. Accessible teaching, digitalization, language and knowledge-developing instruction are other areas we prioritize, as well as collaboration between school and working life.
We live in a dynamic world and want everyone who works here to be flexible and have a solution-oriented approach. With humility and teamwork, most things can be solved. Your Role
Job Description
We're looking for you who are a certified teacher with credentials to teach Wood and Metal Crafts in elementary school. Together with other crafts teachers, you will be responsible for students' instruction in this subject. You will be part of a teaching team at the upper secondary level.
Your Competence and Experience
You are a certified and licensed teacher in Wood and Metal Crafts. We would appreciate it if you have a couple of years of work experience.
