About the Position
As a Total Defense Coordinator at LFV, you'll work in an industry that's constantly evolving, where your role has a crucial significance for national security.
Preparedeness and Security is a unit within Governance and Finance that is responsible for crisis and preparedness issues, total defense planning, aviation security, security protection, and signals security. Preparedness and Security currently consists of 11 employees, primarily located at LFV's headquarters in Norrköping. The unit also leads employees throughout the organization who work on preparedness and security matters, with the aim of managing increased requirements and guiding, supporting, and monitoring operations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Total Defense Coordinator, you'll work at a strategic level with LFV's preparedness planning in accordance with government directives and support the organization's work in this area.
The role involves identifying and analyzing requirements, regulations, and needs to develop objectives and plans for both societal crises and heightened readiness, and ultimately war. This includes, for example, developing our operational management system, responding to consultations, LFV's crisis management, war organization, war deployment, and preparedness plans. Planning, implementation, and participation in both inter-agency and national exercises are also part of the role.
Collaboration with international actors may also occur. The role also includes gathering relevant information about changes in the external environment and, when necessary, initiating changes within the area of responsibility in LFV's operational management system.
What We're Looking For
You have a university degree in social sciences, security, crisis management, military science, or equivalent qualifications.
You have several years of experience working with total defense-related tasks.
You have experience collaborating with internal and external actors within the total defense field.
You have good knowledge of Swedish and English.
It is advantageous if you have:
Experience with staff work in crisis management.
Experience working in public sector operations.
Experience working in governing functions within an organization.
The role requires both decisiveness and sound judgment. You are results-oriented and drive work forward with clear goals in sight. With your problem-solving ability, you analyze complex situations quickly and find well-thought-out solutions that contribute to societal preparedness and security. You are self-driven, take responsibility, and act proactively – even in changing or demanding situations. At the same time, you have a strong ability to build relationships and understand that a robust total defense is built on collaboration, trust, and good communication between actors at all levels.
Other Information
This is a permanent employment with placement options in Norrköping, Malmö-Sturup, or Stockholm-Arlanda.
Before employment, LFV conducts a security clearance that includes, among other things, registry checks, security interviews, and drug testing. This position requires Swedish citizenship.
