About the Operations: We are looking for you to work as a substitute teacher in our preschools and primary schools in Vallentuna Municipality. You will be employed as a substitute teacher by the HR department. You may be offered assignments with short notice, but also assignments with longer notice to cover planned absences in the operations. We need substitutes who can work weekdays, daytime. During school breaks there are very few shifts, so we primarily need substitutes during the spring and fall terms when school is in session. You don't need to be a trained teacher, preschool teacher, or childcare worker to work as a substitute with us. What is important is that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language and that you are interested in working with children. We prefer that you are available for work at least 3-4 weekdays per week and appreciate it if you have the ability to come in and work on short notice, as the need for substitutes usually comes up the same morning you're needed. Duties: Preschool As a substitute in preschool, you support the preschool team in pedagogical education. At the same time, you are a central part of the children's play and activities and assist during rest time and meals. You keep the child in focus and help create joy around play and creativity for the child. Duties: Leisure/Resource As a leisure/resource staff at primary school, you support the school's students and teachers with their work during the school day. During breaks and afternoon leisure activities, you work together with regular staff to take responsibility for student safety and learning. Your focus is always on the students and you contribute with your engagement both in the classroom and on the school grounds. Duties: Teacher Substitute As a teacher substitute, you will lead instruction in the classroom based on the regular teacher's planning. The role requires that you have secure and clear leadership, a good ability to create structure, and a presence that inspires confidence in the classroom. You need to be able to take responsibility for the group and meet students with both clarity and responsiveness. In the classroom, you also serve as a pedagogical support where you help students understand and complete their assignments. You take responsibility for the class during the time you are their teacher substitute. Opportunities for longer-term substitution may be available and would mean that you participate in planning instruction and maintain contact with guardians. Qualifications: At least 18 years old. Good knowledge of the Swedish language. Meritorious: Ongoing or completed education as a childcare worker, student assistant, leisure pedagogue, or other pedagogical education. Driver's license, or the ability to otherwise reach our operations quickly and easily. Experience working with children/young people. Knowledge of diabetes, NPF, TAKK - Sign language as support, special education, or machinery certification (woodworking). Personal Qualities: You work toward results, show reliability, and take responsibility for planning and follow-up of your work.
