Lerum is truly a Super Municipality! * We are looking for experienced temporary workers for our Care and Support services. How it works: You will be employed on an intermittent basis and receive ongoing requests for work shifts, sometimes with short notice (same day), sometimes with longer advance notice. You indicate your own availability in our digital booking system, where you can also express interest in specific work shifts. Working Hours Work shifts are scheduled during day and evening hours on weekdays and weekends. The earliest a shift can start is 6:30 AM and the latest it can end is 10:30 PM. At certain support services facilities, overnight sleep-in duty is also included, which means you sleep at the workplace. If you have previous work experience in care and support, there is an opportunity to work awake nights. Orientation Before your first work shift, you will be introduced by a supervisor at the workplace, where you will learn work tasks, routines, and the needs of the service users. You will also complete web-based training. If medication administration is part of your duties, you must complete training in medication delegation. 10 position(s). WORK TASKS You always work based on what the service user needs and contribute to their well-being and a meaningful and secure daily life. Examples of typical work tasks: • provide support in daily situations, for example taking walks • assist with showering and toilet visits • cleaning and laundry • distribute medication (mainly applicable in home care and support services) • health and medical care tasks according to instructions and delegation from a nurse • documentation in administrative systems Nursing Homes and Short-Term Residences At nursing homes and short-term residences, there are somatic and dementia units. Here you primarily work in a team, but independent work also occurs. Your task is to help care recipients with practical care work based on their needs and organize activities such as excursions and social games. Home Care and Service Unit In home care, you support service users based on their needs in their homes. You perform practical care work independently but maintain regular contact with colleagues and coordinators. Sometimes you work in pairs. At the home care service unit, you perform only service tasks, such as shopping, cleaning, and social activities like walks. Support Services Support Services includes LSS activities, psychiatric housing, and personal assistance. You work with people who have intellectual, physical, neuropsychiatric, or mental functional variations. Work is performed either in the service user's home or at a residence. In addition to practical care work, you provide educational support in daily life, personal care, and create an active daily life based on the individual's needs and circumstances. QUALIFICATIONS Who are you? We are looking for someone with previous experience in healthcare and care. You enjoy meeting people, make connections easily, and have a genuine interest in each individual you meet. With your empathetic ability and respect for privacy, you contribute to a secure and meaningful daily life for our service users. You provide good service, collaborate well with others, and take responsibility for driving the work forward. We place great importance on personal suitability. Education in healthcare and care is advantageous. The work includes documentation and communication with service users, colleagues, and other partners, so you need to feel confident in Swedish both spoken and written. Driver's License In home care and certain parts of support services, you need to have a category B driver's license, and in some cases, be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
