As an hourly substitute at our residential care facilities, you will work at one of our homes. Residential care facilities house elderly persons with extensive and long-term needs for 24-hour care. This may involve serious illness, cognitive decline, or a sense of insecurity at home. Residents have their own apartments and receive support and assistance in their daily lives. Residential care facilities also offer a safe and meaningful everyday life with social interaction and community.
Description of Work Tasks
As an hourly substitute in residential care, you will support elderly residents in their daily lives. Work tasks vary depending on the facility and needs, but may include:
• personal care (e.g., assistance with hygiene, dressing, and meals)
• social support and activities
• service tasks (e.g., serving meals, cleaning, and laundry)
• documentation according to established procedures (often digital)
• handling medication under delegation from a nurse, or tasks from physical and occupational therapists
• collaboration with colleagues, nurses, and other professionals
You will work daytime and evening shifts. Work time is scheduled on weekdays and every other weekend. You will work at different units as needed by the operations.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
• are at least 18 years old
• are comfortable using digital tools/computers
• can communicate independently and fluently in Swedish
It is advantageous if you have:
• experience working in health and care and with documentation in care
• education in health and care training and/or a nursing assistant diploma
• completed or ongoing upper secondary education or equivalent education that the employer deems comparable
As a person, you are service-oriented, calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. You are empathetic and can quickly understand another person's perspective or situation. You have a genuine interest in helping others. This job suits you if you collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and flexible manner. Last but not least, you are a communicative person who listens well and adapts your communication style.
