In Nyköping, we believe in education that delivers strong results and reinforces the values that create a sustainable society. We view preschools, schools, and our educational arenas as some of the most important places to create conditions for democracy and meetings built on everyone's differences.
We know what challenges we face—we work collectively and collegially, and our initiatives are only made possible through courageous and professional employees and leaders who are trustworthy role models for our children and young people.
The Education Division is responsible for 31 preschools divided into four areas. The division also includes 17 after-school centers connected to our primary schools. We continuously work to ensure that children and students in our facilities have a meaningful and safe experience, and as a substitute staff member, you are important to that mission. Our substitute staffing organization is designed to meet the units' needs while also creating a safe workplace for you. Substitute staffing is a crucial piece of our work toward equitable, high-quality services, and we are now seeking additional hourly substitute staff to be part of this work. You will be part of a team of several substitute staff members working across the municipality's preschools and after-school centers.
10 position(s).
WORK RESPONSIBILITIES
As a substitute in preschool and after-school care, you will assist the regular staff with daily operations. You may be scheduled at preschools throughout Nyköping Municipality and need to be able to travel by bus or personal car to preschools in rural areas. You may sometimes be booked with short notice, so it is important that you are available and flexible. You will report to the substitute staffing coordinator, who can also support you with questions about your work. When working out in the facilities, the staff on-site will primarily be your contact. The work is often challenging, so you need to be open to these challenges, be active and present in your work, and not be afraid to take responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS
You must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma. You must have well-developed Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. We place great emphasis on personal suitability—your approach and attitude are extremely important. You should be engaged in working with children where relationships are central, and you should be curious, quick to learn new things, and have a strong ability to take independent responsibility.
Previous experience working in preschool or after-school care is an advantage, but we also welcome applicants without extensive experience.
We are looking for someone who can work substantially and be available for work at least three days per week, preferably more.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Childcare worker training or comparable adult education
- Driver's License Category B
- Experience working in preschool and/or after-school care
You can apply for a police record extract from the police now, which is a requirement for all our substitute staff.
Do you want to work in our substitute staffing organization and contribute to the mission of providing the best for children in preschool and equitable, high-quality services? Welcome to apply!
Submit your application as soon as possible, as interviews may begin before the application deadline and will then be conducted on a rolling basis.
