The night patrol is responsible for scheduled nighttime visits and handles emergency alarm calls throughout Uppsala Municipality during night hours. The work involves a great deal of independence while being part of an engaged team that together contributes to safety, care, and quality of life for our clients.
The night patrol operates from Nyby home care, Svartbäcken home care, and Sävja home care. The work shift begins with a briefing and review of documentation before you and your colleagues drive out to the municipality's home care areas. As temporary staff, you work flexibly across all our teams. During the night, you perform both scheduled visits and respond to incoming emergency alarm calls. Work hours are 21:35–07:15.
Description of Work Tasks
As part of the night patrol, you should provide good care based on the individual's needs with great respect for the person and their self-determination. You contribute to enabling the client to live an independent, active, and meaningful life according to their circumstances and needs.
The work includes:
performing care services in clients' homes
performing delegated health and medical care services from licensed personnel
documenting according to the Social Services Act
communicating and collaborating with clients, family members, colleagues, and other professionals
working in a health-promoting manner and contributing to the development of the activity.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we see that you:
have relevant experience working in health and care
prefer to have experience performing health and medical care services on delegation from licensed health and medical personnel
can independently and without difficulty communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. This is a requirement to ensure client safety and proper documentation in the work
are accustomed to using digital tools such as computers and smartphones
have a class B driver's license
feel confident driving a vehicle for work.
It is advantageous if you:
are a trained nursing assistant with a vocational certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare
have experience with night work
have experience with documentation in systems such as LifeCare.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to current salary agreements.
