Lund Waldorf School, founded in 1978 and located in the beautiful natural surroundings of Hardeberga near Lund, is now seeking flexible and committed substitute teachers for our substitute pool. We offer substitute positions in primary school, intermediate school, secondary school, and after-school care. The school is an independent, non-profit foundation with approximately 170 students in grades K-9 and around 40 staff members.
Lund Waldorf School bases its teaching on the principles of Waldorf pedagogy, where practical creativity, play, and a close relationship with nature encourage students' participation, responsibility, and development. Responsibilities
As a substitute teacher, you will step in as needed in various classes and subjects, from preschool through grade 9, as well as in after-school care. You will:
Be responsible for conducting lessons and activities according to the teacher's planning.
Ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment for the students.
Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to maintain the school's pedagogical vision.
Qualifications
You need to be available for at least one substitute assignment per week. If this is not possible, we kindly ask you to refrain from applying for the position.
No formal educational qualification is required, but experience working with children and young people is an asset.
You have an interest in contributing to a safe and creative learning environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with both students and colleagues.
Interest in Waldorf pedagogy is an advantage, but we also welcome you if you are curious about our approach.
Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone who is flexible, responsible, and has a positive attitude. You are solution-oriented, collaborate easily, and can adapt to different situations and age groups.
Employment Terms
Hourly employment with flexible hours based on need.
Salary according to collective agreement.
